“Such a Beautiful Display.”

For the past few days, many of my library co-workers have told me, “you have such a beautiful display” or “your scrapbooks and Happiness Box Project are impressive.” “Such talent.”

Terry and Julia looked at my display tonight. They really loved it…

…I also made them verklempt, seeing the photos with Mrs. Davenport. This is why I take pictures. This is why I scrapbook.

Summer depression is hitting me hard right now, especially with what’s going on in our society. Tommy and I are on a break. However, tonight reminded me AND the past few days reminded me that I am loved, I am appreciated, and people do admire me, my skills, my creativity, and they love the Happiness Box Project idea.

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

How can anyone not be down in the dumps, dear friend, given the shape our society is in? At a time like this, with things also stagnating or going awry in your personal life, it is important to take your victory laps when you can. You certainly deserve to do that knowing how much your co-workers appreciate your caring and your artistry. I’m so glad the compliments are flowing over your display. Yessum, I certainly remember Mrs. Davenport and how kind she was to you and how much she is missed. If you and Tommy are taking another break, that’s AOK. No one can take away your memories of days like this past weekend when the two of you shared so many meaningful experiences related to Pride month. Surely you and Tommy will be spending more quality time together in the near future. In the meantime, live your life as you see fit and be kind to yourself.
