Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I am thankful for the Luck o’ the Irish, as well as a loving boyfriend. I told him I needed a social media break because I felt overwhelmed and depressed, he’s been checking up on me, as well as expressing his love of me. Awww. Thank you, Tommy.
I’m also thankful for the Writing.com community, for ruwth, Tina, Lilli, Jody, and Joy. I’m thankful for friends and family. What are you grateful for today?
Hi, Jessica Marie!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day and Thankful Thursday, dear friend! It makes me happy to know that you and Tommy are taking a mature, common sense approach to your relationship. Love is often enhanced by allowing each other some time and space and distance. It’s when you crowd somebody, cling to somebody, make demands, that things often go sideways. So continue to do what you are doing, asking for a timeout whenever you need it and respecting when he needs one. You’ll be AOK. Clearly you have many friends and fans in the Writing.com community.
I am thankful that friends like you are responding to my post about the Ukrainian musicians. Year in and year out, I try to keep the tone at Shady’s Place lighthearted, but every once in a while, as the USA for Africa song admonished, it’s time to get serious and let your voice be heard :
There comes a time
When we heed a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
Oh, and it’s time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all
We can’t go on
Pretending day-by-day
That someone, somewhere soon make a change
We’re all a part of God’s great big family
And the truth, you know, love is all we need
Have a happy TT, dear friend JM!
