Ah, the first Thursday in February. Can you believe it?! Today is one of my best friend’s birthdays, Liz, and it’s also Mike’s birthday. Mike is the son of one of my neighbours. A “happy birthday” to both Liz and Mike!
I have a lot to be thankful for today. I have awesome co-workers at both jobs, but the county has been awesome this week. Yesterday, one of my co-workers gave me a bunch of hand sanitizers from Bed, Bath, and Body Works because her daughter didn’t like them. She knew I could use them since I work at the library. I’m verklempt that she thought of me.
Today one of the ADAs gave me an umbrella, an emergency umbrella to keep at my desk, and a package of peanut M&Ms to snack on. So thankful and verklempt.
I also have amazing friends and family, and an amazing boyfriend. Tommy texted me throughout the day today and I loved hearing from him. We’re so excited about this weekend.

Also, happy birthday to Liz and Mike! That was indeed thoughtful of your co-worker to think of you and give you a supply of hand sanitizer, something you can always use. Another colleague gave you an umbrella and a snack pack, another thoughtful person in your orbit. It’s a biggie that Tommy is staying connected with you again. All it took was giving him a little time and space when he needed it. We all need it from time to time. If and when you need it, he will surely understand. I hope you can carry out your plans for the upcoming weekend.
I am thankful for a very mild day today just to get a break from two weeks of bitter cold. It’s nice.
