Wow! The first Thankful Thursday in 2022! There’s a lot to celebrate and be thankful for today. Let’s get started.
On New Year’s Day, Tommy and I went to the mall and I bought my first skate deck because he’s going to teach me how to skateboard. We went into Zumiez and we looked at all the options. I’m tiny, so I wound up with a 7.75″ Globe deck. The sales associate helped me pick out a pad set and Tommy helped me pick out the gear I need for skateboard care. So thankful Tommy was there to help me and I’m glad he’s going to teach me how to skateboard. We’ll be doing that this weekend.

It’s finally cold enough to ice skate! It’s so cold that we may even get snow tomorrow. Tommy and I are meeting up to ice skate tomorrow night after work and Saturday. We’ll ice skate on Saturday after skateboarding. I can’t wait to ice skate! Thank you, Mother Nature! I hope you remain cold for the rest of the winter.
I’m also thankful for friends, family, and coworkers. What are you grateful for today?
Hi, Jessica Marie!
One thing I’ve noticed is that Tommy has lots of know-how. He is patiently introducing you to many new and exciting activities, helping you avoid mistakes when making purchases of gear, etc. You are very lucky to have him to mentor you. I hope you enjoy the sport of skateboarding. You should play the old Jan & Dean hit “Sidewalk Surfin’ (bust your buns)” as you practice. 🙂 Yessum, my friend In East Tennessee reports a bad storm is heading their way, and the same system should produce snow and cold in your area. I hope you and Tom have a great time ice skating tomorrow night and Saturday. It wouldn’t be winter without cold and snow so enjoy it while you can. Shucks, I haven’t seen a snowflake since 2001 when I flew up to York for my dad’s funeral!
I am thankful that Mrs. Shady is on the mend and feeling better after falling the other day. She was working in the yard and tripped over an exposed tree root, badly bruising her shoulder.
Happy TT and have a safe and enjoyable weekend, dear friend JM!
