Happy Veteran’s Day and Remembrance Day! I am grateful for the men and women who not only serve the US, but the service members of Canada and Europe as well. We celebrate Veteran’s/Remembrance Day because on this day in 1919, World War I ended (this day was originally called ‘Armistice Day’). World War I was a worldwide effort, like World War II, and much like today. I honour you all!
The leaves are changing and it’s looking so beautiful outside. I am grateful for the changing season and thankful that the holidays are soon approaching. It’ll be another year down and I’m grateful for all that I learned so far this year.
Date #2 with Tom tonight and I’m so excited. I’m thankful that I met an awesome kind and respectful guy.
What are you grateful for today?
Hi, Jessica Marie!
Thanks for saluting our vets, dear friend!
Yessum, the other night while I was taking out the trash in the darkness, I glanced up and down the street and realized that soon, very soon, the houses will be gleaming and glowing with multi-color Christmas lights. I suddenly found myself playing the seasonal song “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas” in my head.
I also remembered that Thursday was the big night – date #2 with your new friend Tom. Based on what you told me at Shady’s Place, things went just as well as they did during your initial meeting. I’m all verklempt! Hey, if both of you like games and arcades, etc., please watch the hit Netflix series Squid Game. It is a worldwide phenomenon! I’m thankful that other friends turned me on to the 9-episode miniseries.
Happy Friday, dear friend JM, and have a safe and enjoyable weekend!
