I’m thankful for everyone in my life, including you dear reader!
I’m on vacation next week – I’m Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, NY bound! Tomorrow is my last day at my full-time job and I don’t start my new job until 30 August 2021. I’m taking four days for Brighton Beach, then a week and a half for day trips, clothes shopping and the library. I’m really looking forward to my new chapter and I’m grateful for this opportunity.
While my full-time job hasn’t been my favourite job, I feel grateful that I grew as an appeals writer, which will serve me in my new job, and the work friends I’ve made over the last 5.5 years. Two of my work friends gave me their numbers and want to keep in touch. Thank you, dear ladies. Thank you for the lessons, corporate.

I am all verklempt knowing that a chapter of your life is coming to a close and the next exciting chapter is about to begin. I envy you for getting ready to head off to one of your favorite beach destinations. I hope you have a great time and stay safe. The water should be warm this late in the season. It is also wise of you to have the period between jobs filled with a mix of relaxation and preparation. Yessum, you have learned a great deal over the 5.5 years spent at your current job, and it will surely serve you well. You have also made friends who wish to stay in touch after you leave the company. I am confident that you will make many new friends at the next.
