Thankful Thursday 11 February 2021

When I’ve been getting done my full-time job or done with the library, I’ve been crafting and reading before bed. It feels nice to craft.

Anyway, I want to thank Phyllis for the lovely pick-me-up and Valentine’s Day cards; Lovina for the pick-me-up card, and Theresa for the Valentine’s Day card. I also have to thank Mike again. I’ve added each of your cards to my Happiness Box.

Krista, thank you for the journal, the disks to hold things together, and stickers. I have a lot of fun things planned.

I’m also thankful for the snow and for the teenagers/ young women who built this snow woman. I know young ladies live in that house, but I’m not sure if they are high schoolers or in college. Nonetheless, I appreciate their creativity.

I’m also thankful for friends and family. What are you thankful for today?

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

Happy TT to you, dear friend! I would think that crafting and reading are excellent activities to unwind and relieve stress before bedtime. Believe it or not, Mrs. Shady immerses herself in thick medical textbooks at bedtime. That’s her thing. I’m verklempt knowing that you received cards of kindness from Phyllis, Lovina, Theresa and Mike, and a journal and other items from friend Krista. It’s nice to see a snow woman in someone’s yard rather than the traditional Frosty the snowman.

I am thankful that I received the first dose of the COVID vaccine. Yesterday I drove halfway across the state to the vaccination center. The large room was filled with people, and it would have been a “super spreader event” if not for the requirement that everybody wear a mask and have their temp taken before entering the venue. Two weeks from now I need to drive back there and get my follow-up shot. I am very thankful I didn’t have to wait much longer to start feeling protected from the dreaded virus.

Enjoy the rest of your week and weekend, dear friend JM!
