Just a quick entry… I’m in the process of making the Hanukkah cards for charity, but I’ve been neglectful of my blog. I had a wonderful time ice skating on Saturday, even though it was warm.
After, I walked under City Hall and Aijee was serenading us with her cello. I haven’t seen her in a long while, but was happy to see her perform. Aijee’s musical talent added a whimsical and holiday spirit to the atmosphere.
I’m dogsitting for Aunt Kathy this weekend, but will make some time to get back to ice skating. The River Rink is set to open on Friday and I can’t wait.
Hi, Jessica Marie!
Dang that global warming! I’m sorry it turned mild just as you were planning to go ice skating again. I suppose skating on wet ice helps hone your skill, so there’s a good reframe for you.
Dang that COVID! It looks so strange to see busker cellist Aijee wearing that mask and seeing passersby wearing masks. What a year this has been in so many ways. Another reframe is to be thankful for all the things we still can enjoy, like the pretty music Aijee played and the holiday atmosphere she helped create.
I hope it turns colder for your next skate session at River Rink and that all goes well as you dogsit for Aunt Kathy this weekend.
Happy Thanksgiving, dear friend JM!
