You Walk, Girl! | Prevention’s Fall Walk | 3 October 2020

You walk, girl! Yesterday, I completed Prevention magazine’s Virtual Fall Walk in two hours. 4.8 miles, 11,600 steps. I walked all through Upper Merion.

Can’t wait to go back to the library on 13 October!

Here are some gems I was listening to while I was walking:

I haven’t heard this song in six years or so; it was a welcomed surprise.

I can’t wait for the next walk, which will be next May. Prevention holds two walks per year: in May, in the beauty of spring; and in October, in the beauty of the newness of autumn.

I’m glad that when I went food shopping in April, I saw their May issue of “Walk Anxiety Away” and learned about the walk. I look forward to doing these for years to come.

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

I’m proud of you, dear friend, and all verklempt. You are to be congratulated for taking part in and completing Prevention Magazine’s Virtual Fall Walk. I am impressed by the distance you covered! Looks like the sky was clear and blue as can be, an ideal day for the event, and you got to see the colorful autumn leaves and Halloween decorations along the route through Upper Merion. To spur you on, there was an eclectic play list that ran the gamut from traditional country to alternative rock. My favorites are the classic rock hits by America and Kansas.

Once again, congratulations on participating in this year’s Fall Walk. I’m sure you felt a little tired but invigorated as you crossed the finish line. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and the week ahead, dear friend JM!
