Ice Skating Sunday

Today I ventured down to the River Rink for a morning ice skate. It has been a month since I last went and it felt great to be back on the ice at Penn’s Landing. This is going to be a music and photo entry. I skated to some great tunes today that not only pumped up my blood, but also pumped up my smiles.

I actually really like this song, it reminds me of “Criminal” by Fiona Apple and that is one of my favourite songs.

He was on SNL last month and I fell in love with this song. It’s catchy and good to skate to.

The wind enjoyed these hits too and I guess Mother Nature wanted a skate partner because she was skating by my side. I held myself with the wind and at times, she was pushing me, then I was pushing her.

I’m leaving work two hours early tomorrow and I will go ice skating again. It’ll be 30 degrees tomorrow and I’m excited to hit the ice! I also can’t wait to see what the soundtrack will be tomorrow – it’ll be snow much fun!

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

I’m happy to know you had more fun on the ice, dear friend. I envy you for being able to experience that invigorating cold air. Down here it is warm and muggy and we need to keep the air conditioner running day and night. Thanks for posting a medley of tunes that the deejay plays at the skating rink. Most are brand new to me. The most familiar are the songs by Ke$ha and the Maroon 5 feat. Christina. The set of pictures reveals everyone having a great time at Penn’s Landing River Rink. I hope you have just as much fun again tomorrow.

Just a reminder that my three week + blog hiatus is about to begin. Mrs, Shady and I are in another city again today and need to travel home tomorrow, pack the rest of our possessions and clean. Then comes the big move next week after which we will need time to unpack, organize and get settled in our new house. I hope to be back in action on the blog circuit in time for Valentine’s Day.

Have a safe and happy week, dear friend JM!
