Last night I ventured to Oaks Centre Ice, to prepare for the River Rink to open next month.
When I arrived, I ran into the neighbours that live behind us. Their daughters have to be around 4 and 7 and they were learning how to skate. As we were lacing up our skates, it was nice to catch up. As I was skating, I passed the youngest one a few times and she kept waving over to me, while saying, “hi neighbour! Look, I’m skating!” It made me so happy.
I also skated without holding on. I remembered my lessons back from March and that brought a smile to my face too. I can’t wait for Vitamin Ice season to be in full force.
Hi, Jessica Marie!
I’m very happy to see pictures of you smiling and back out on the ice, ready for another season of cold weather skating. I’m delighted that you remembered your training and didn’t need to rely on the walker. It was fortuitous that you ran into your little neighbor girls at the rink and it was nice of them to give you a shout out.
Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend, dear friend JM!
