Thankful Thursday

Wow! The penultimate Thursday before September. We are inching closer to fall and my body can feel it.

I was home yesterday because I caught the dreaded summer cold. I think it’s also mixed with allergies, hay fever is rampant this time of year. I’m thankful that I rested yesterday and I’m thankful that mom made me broth, tea, and had aspirin waiting for me when I got home on Tuesday night.

I’m thankful that I’m feeling a little better today and grateful that I can rest this weekend. I’ll be on the mend by Labour Day. 😊

What are you thankful for?

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

Happy TT, dear friend! You have reason to be thankful if you can already feel the approach of fall. It’s still a gazillion degrees down here with three months to go before the temp falls into the comfortable range. I’m sorry you caught a summer cold. I have been sneezing for a couple of days, but I believe it is strictly due to tree pollen and other allergens in the Central Florida environment. It warms my heart to learn that your mom gave you TLC during your period of illness, serving you broth, tea, and an aspirin. Be sure to thank her for all she does for you in sickness and in health. I’m happy to know you feel a little better now and seem headed for a full recovery by L-Day.

We are still living out of a suitcase visiting family in another city. I wish we were back home, but there are important responsibilities we must handle before we can leave here. We made good headway these last few days and for that I am thankful.

Enjoy your Friday and weekend, dear friend JM!
