Last night I went to see MewithoutYou at the TLA and oh man, what a great time! I will expand upon it tomorrow night, but there was a lot of kindness going around last night that I am thankful for.
I went in as the doors opened and had my down coat with me since I didn’t have the cash for coat check. A guy came up to me and asked if he could stand next to me, if there was enough room for him. He traveled up from Virginia and wanted a good view. I said that there was, I could move my stuff. He then gave me $4 for the coat check – I said, “do you have PayPal or the Cash App so I can pay you back?” He said, “no, it’s okay, it’s on me.” I checked in my coat and he saved my spot.
I guess kindness was paid back to me since before the show I fed a homeless man. I feel grateful and we enjoyed the show. 🙂 I also met Nick and the guy who gave me the $4 was Evan – both wonderful people.
I worked at the library today; I took off from my full-time job and it was nice working at the library from 9-5; we giggled all day, chatted, and it was just a lovely and happy day today. I love my library co-workers. I also ran into my former 8th grade language arts teacher and we caught up for a little bit. I feel thankful for each and every one of them.
I feel blessed and happy; I’m in the process of feeling healthy and wealthy. I am thankful for family and friends – I am blessed to have my loved ones in my life.

I am thankful to read this uplifting post and realize that you are “coming from abundance” rather than “coming from scarcity,” a principle I learned about in motivational seminars. When you give, you get back. When you spread love and joy it comes back to you. Before the mewithoutYou show you gave yourself the gift of knowing you fed a homeless man. At the show you once again turned strangers into friends. You had a great time with co-workers at the library and reconnected with an old teacher. All in all a great week for you.
